BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT & WILD FLOWERS! CLICK HERE!

Every spring and summer, gardens across New England come alive with color! For gardeners, flower-lovers, & photographers alike, there are numerous botanical & historical gardens, miles of interstate scattered with wild flowers, and friends and neighbors who spend hours every spring and fall planting & harvesting their crops! Each is worth capturing in a photo, in order to remember its beauty and color, during the height of the season.

COVERED BRIDGES & BARNS! CLICK HERE!!
INTHEBRIDGE.jpg
New Hampshire alone has more than 50 covered bridges, making it the epicenter of New England. What better way to wait out a summer rain, watch the snowfall, or for admiring the reflection of fall foliage in the clear water. These mostly wooden structures are a reminder of New England's history, and are a lasting testament to good old Yankee ingenuity.  There is something so wonderful about riding thru one, & catching quick glimpses of what lays beyond it.  They never dissapoint!

GORGEOUS NEW ENGLAND SCENERY! CLICK HERE!
camptonfalls.jpg

There is nothing more satisfying than an afternoon drive without a set destination.  Having no where to be but out taking pictures is a photographers dream here in New England.  Lakes, mountains, oceans, rivers (and the city if you must) ...you name it!  It's rustic, majestic, (redneck) & beyond perfect when wanting a beautiful backdrop!  To not experience the 4 seasons and the wonders of each, is to rob oneself of a years experience!

RANDOM, INTERESTING & ODD! CLICK HERE!
HAVEASEAT.jpg

I have noticed while flipping through old photos, I have a habbit of taking pictures of random objects that don't seem very intersting until they appear in print.  Nothing is off limits when it comes to picture snapping!  I must say that living here in Central New Hampshire, I can't imagine the day where there isn't something of interest to capture!  Ever take a picture of the coffee table after a big party?  Trust me... it's interesting.

I can't remember a time where if I was within 2 feet of a bug, spider, or other buzzing & flying insects that I didn't cringe, shiver, or most likely, way over react.  Infact, I've pulled muscles from my antics when I've walked through an invisable spider's web, or something big enough worthy of it's own landing strip lands on my leg. (Don't we all?)  But I have to say, as long as they aren't landing on me, (and say just sitting on a leaf mating), then I'm taking a picture!

BEAUTIFUL BIRDS! CLICK HERE!
birdflyingaway.jpg

What Steven Spielberg did for big fish, Alfred Hitchcock did to the bird.  Hanging out at the humming bird feeder never became top priority for me after 2 hours of watching Tippi Hedren getting pecked at by seagulls, crows,& sparrows. (Oddly, swimming in the ocean never bothered me).  And then one day while sitting on my dad's deck, one hovered in front of me long enough to take it's picture... I was hooked!  I'm not looking to be on the board at the Audubon Society, I'm just saying, I've enjoyed what these birds have given back - a beautiful photograph!

TREES AND FALL FOLIAGE
foliage.jpg

Autumn.  It's what New Englanders live for!  Cozy sweatshirts, football games, crisp air, and a panoramic view of what appears to be a Fruity Pebble explosion!  Vibrant reds, oranges and yellows are natures way of appologizing for the long, cold winter we undoubtedly will endure.  And nothing is a better sight for sore eyes than the first hints of green, after 5 months of an alien gray landscape.

BEAUTIFUL SUNRISES AND SUNSETS! CLICK HERE!
SUNSET.jpg

If I had given any thought what so ever to the fact that I have to be out of my house every morning by 5am to head to work, I might have thought twice about taking the job... until the first time I experienced my 35 mile commute watching the sunrise come up over the mountains.   What makes it unique for me is I only have about 8 weeks of the year where it's light enough in the morning for me to enjoy it on my ride!  I have seen shades of purple, pink, yellow & red I never could have imagined existed.  Love it!!

There definetly isn't a shortage of great places to eat, sleep & shop here in New England.  Gorgeous inns, cozy bed & breakfasts, outlet malls, delicious dining... we've got it all!  In the coming months, I hope to have photographed plenty of places that just might give you an idea on where to take that next vacation! See somewhere interesting?  Drop me a line and I'll tell you how to get there!

My Dad's dog Killer poses for the camera!

Photographing animals is a lot like photographing children.  It's unpredictable!  They can be the best subject or the reason for the 3rd glass of wine... Being someone who has been bitten by 3 dogs, I never thought I would find joy in trying to capture them on film. I love the challenge! Nothing brings out a smile in people more, than a wagging tail, a lick to the face, and unconditional love that can only come from our beloved furry friends.  Our pets are undoubtedly a huge part of our families, and deserve equal face time in front of the camera. Do you want to capture your family pet, alone or with the kids?  Just call Amy for an appointment!
